The concert tickets in Liverpool were screenshots and excuses

I found the seller through a local Facebook group in Liverpool. She had a normal profile, older posts, a few tagged friends, nothing that screamed fake. She said her sister was sick and she could not go to the concert anymore, which made the whole thing feel even more believable.

She sent me screenshots of the tickets and said she would transfer them after payment. Once I paid, suddenly there was a problem with the transfer app. Then another excuse. Then she said Ticketmaster was lagging. Then she stopped answering for hours at a time.

By the next day I was blocked. Later I learned the screenshots had been cropped from a confirmation image and were never valid entry tickets in the first place. It was not a huge amount of money, but it was the ordinary tone of the whole thing that made it work.
