Serial catfish scammer arrested after dating app return

A repeat romance fraud offender was arrested again after returning to dating apps shortly after release from prison.

A serial romance fraud offender has been arrested again after returning to dating apps just days after being released from prison.

Identified as Raymond McDonald, he is accused of using multiple fake identities over several years to target women online.

He reportedly posed as a soldier, paramedic, or trusted professional to quickly gain emotional trust from victims.

Authorities say he accumulated numerous convictions linked to romance scams, using emotional manipulation, fake emergencies, and false life plans to obtain money.

After his release from prison, he quickly reappeared on dating platforms and resumed contacting women using the same deceptive tactics.

In several cases, he promised serious relationships, financial help, or future plans before even meeting in person.

An undercover operation eventually confirmed his identity and long criminal history, leading to his re-arrest and return to custody.
